SAP XI – SAP PI està construït sobre els estandards oberts SOA, XML i Java.

EL SAP XI – SAP PI s’està utilitzant actualment, entre altres, en les aplicacions:

  2. SRM – SAP Supplier Relationship Management
  3. ICH – SAP Inventory Collaboration Hub within SAP SCM
  4. BI – SAP Business Intelligence, for Global reporting Spending
  5. R/3 Enterprise – for industry Standard Support
  6. CRM – SAP Customer Relationship Management, for Extended Order Management
  7. SBO – SAP Business One
